Here you’ll find inspiration and examples of outdoor and kayaking gear that you can make yourself. After all, there’s something special about equipment crafted with your own hands. It’s often more affordable than buying new, and you can give new life to materials that might otherwise be thrown away — good for both your wallet and the environment. You can also keep the weight down and design your gear exactly the way you want it.

Making your own equipment simply has a lot to offer. It’s inspiring, educational, and above all great fun — adding yet another dimension to your outdoor adventures. Hopefully, this will spark your creativity and encourage you to try building something of your own. And if you’ve already started, you might discover a tip or two that proves useful in your next project.
